A powerful experience of a worldwide e-commerce platform

Caterpillar Parts, best known as (parts.cat.com), is CAT's central digital e-commerce platform. It currently represents their leading online sales channel and is available in more than 10 languages. Because of that reason, the company is constantly investing budget in managing, maintaining and enhancing the platform performance, functionalities and overall user experience. For this project, I worked as a UX/UI Lead Specialist, leading a SCRUM team of 22 professionals focused on the evaluation and enhancement of the purchasing functionalities of the platform, cross-collaborating and reporting directly to the User Experience Principal Manager of CAT North America under a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). Due to the platform's complexity, my primary responsibility was managing the UX Enhancements process end-to-end, considering CAT digital constraints and guidelines. To quote some of them: CAT Design System (made up of 4 large complex repositories), Storybook front-end library, CAT Digital experience guidelines, branding guidelines, etc. As a milestone in this project and as a SCRUM team, during a natural year (Around 26 sprints), I led, managed, received approval and implemented the upgrade of 6 out of 4 expected platform functionalities enhancement. Plus, my SCRUM team was one of the main teams working closely with the DS management team, able to update a notable amount of UI Components that can be reused in other functionalities to speed up the UI Design processes.
